Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Teams – First Look
Hi Everyone,
I am very excited to show off the new Veeam Explorer for VBO that was introduced in V5 which focuses specifically on Microsoft Teams.
Lets begin with launching the Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Teams.
Once this process completes you should see all your Microsoft Teams that have been backed up on the left-hand side.
Let’s have a look through the new explorer by expanding on one of the Teams sites.
Once you expand your selected team you will be presented with a breakdown of the channels currently on that team and you will be able to expand into the three primary areas of a channel.
- Posts
- Files
- Other Tabs
Let’s take a closer look at the Posts section. In this section, you can see a breakdown of every post that has been captured under the selected channel.
Now Lets look at the restore options available. There is 4 restore options.
- Restore Posts
- Export Posts
- Save Posts
- Send Posts
You can also do an advanced search from this screen.
Now let’s explore Files. In this section, you can see a breakdown of every file that has been captured under the selected channel.

- Restore File
- Save File
- Send File

The last section we will explore is Other tabs. In this section, you can see a breakdown of Other tabs that have been captured under the selected channel.
In Other tabs you only have one restore option available.
